Who needs Immigration Gateway?
US work authorization is needed to engage in productive work while physically present in the United States. Immigration Gateway is useful to current and prospective students and their dependents to learn about their options for work authorization in the United States.
When to start
We encourage international students to be proactive in exploring options for work authorization. Students should review the webpage and attend information sessions* for details related to employment-based immigration options early in their Masters program.
Once a student has an employment-related immigration question or offer of employment from an employer who does not typically sponsor, then the student may apply for a consulting session.
